STAFFORDSHIRE'S AMORCARE MOBILITY WINS REGIONAL RETAILER AWARD FROM TGA

Amorcare Mobility, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford, that specialises in providing high quality independent living products has won the coveted Retailer of the Month Award for February from its UK-leading mobility scooter supplier, TGA Mobility.

Andy Morgan, aged 50 and born locally in Silverdale, is the co-owner of Amorcare Mobility Stores and before setting up this business with his wife Nicky (41 from Kidsgrove), he played professional football for Stoke City and gained an international cap for Wales. Amorcare is a successful mobility specialist that provides independence with peace of mind for many elderly and disabled locals. Their first specialist mobility outlet in Newcastle-under-Lyme has been a huge success and is now complemented with an additional showroom in Crabbery Street, Stafford, that opened last year. Even though high street sales continue to be pressurised by the growth of online e-commerce, Amorcare has proven that offline, face-to-face selling with a focus on care and understanding delivers greater benefits for the local community. This commendable approach has now been recognised by the leading healthcare brand, TGA, who supply the award winning Breeze and Vita mobility scooter ranges. Winning Retailer of the Month has earned Amorcare trade benefits, kudos and a bottle of champagne.

Andy explains: “We established Amorcare in 2009 following 18 months of extensive research into the provision of independent living products locally. We found that after sales care was severely lacking and hence decided to set up our business firmly based upon a service level that people could truly rely upon. Crucial to building and maintaining our leading reputation is the provision of market leading TGA scooters and we are proud to have been a TGA A-Class dealer for two years whilst being Motability approved. We were absolutely delighted to receive the news we had won the award from TGA Area Sales Manager Martyn Simpson – Nicky my business partner yelped with joy!”

Andy continues: “I’m pleased to say our business goes from strength-to-strength and is making a real difference to the lives of many Staffordshire residents who live with restricted mobility. Since we opened our new store in Stafford we have held a popular competition that saw fellow ex Stoke footballer, Terry Conroy present a TGA Eclipse, appointed a new technical engineer, Carl Johnson, and introduced a new easy payment finance scheme. The latter has provided a really simple way for our customers to drive away top-of-the-range products such as the TGA Breeze which otherwise may have been out of reach. Efficient servicing from our engineers, who have been trained at the headquarters of TGA to resolve any issue quickly and correctly, supports every scooter that goes out of the door. Even though Carl is an engineer and not a retail representative, he recently sold a Midi Vita as his customer was so impressed with his attitude and the TGA range! Even in these tough economic times, Nicky and I have a real positive feeling about the future and winning this recent award further bolsters the positivity that surrounds Amorcare.”

Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director concluded: “I would like to congratulate Andy and Nicky for producing such impressive results in February. This award is fully deserved and recognises their hard work, dedication and commitment to helping the local community in a caring and compassionate fashion. As the UK’s leading name, TGA fully supports Amorcare’s approach towards supplying mobility scooters as it reflects TGA brand values in terms of ethical selling, delivering peace of mind and trusted reliable service.”
